Dr. Lindstrom gave and was awarded this honor – Charles D. Kelman, MD Innovator lecture. The title of his talk was “ Thoughts on the ophthalmologists role in education and innovation.”
Each year, ASCRS awards the Innovator’s Medal to an individual whose innovative ideas have benefited ophthalmologists and their patients. The lecture and medal were established in 1985; its recipients include some of the world’s most prominent pioneers in ophthalmic surgery.
