Meet Gary, one of our patients who recently underwent Cataract Surgery and chose the Symfony lens to help improve his vision afterwards. The Symfony intraocular lens (IOL) was approved by the FDA this summer and has our surgeons buzzing about the potential visual outcomes it could provide our patients. This new IOL is considered an Extended Depth of Focus lens, meaning the goal is for patients to have less dependence on their glasses at various distances, increasing the patient’s natural “depth of focus”.
