We are pleased to announce that we have two new, and very talented, Doctors of Optometry at Minnesota Eye Consultants.
Dr. Johnna D. Hobbs started with Minnesota Eye Consultants in December, and currently practices out of our Minnetonka, Minneapolis, Bloomington and Maplewood locations. Dr. Hobbs grew up in Aurora, IL and graduated from the University of Minnesota. She subsequently graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997 and moved back to Minnesota in 1998 after her first son was born. Dr. Hobbs has focused her career on refractive surgery but has also served in primary eye care and was the first optometrist to work with Hennepin Faculty Associates. Her interests outside of Optometry include cooking, gardening and travel.
Dr. Gina M. Doeden joined Minnesota Eye Consultants in February, and currently practices out of our Minnetonka, Minneapolis and Blaine locations. Dr. Doeden obtained her undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Doeden enjoys educating her patients on the prevention of ocular disease and has experience fitting specialty, Toric, Multifocal and Gas Permeable contact lenses. She has also provided pre and postoperative care for refractive and cataract surgery patients. Her outside interests include volunteer activities such as serving on the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce.
