We are excited to welcome to Minnesota Eye Consultants our “Class of 20/20” fellows! We typically have one OD fellow and one MD fellow specializing in cornea, however this year we’re adding a second MD fellow to specialize in glaucoma. We look forward to getting to know these providers and are thrilled to offer an additional service line to our patients!
Shelby Anderson, OD is our new optometry fellow. Dr. Anderson is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota. She attended Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, SD, and completed her optometry education at the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University. She and her husband, Matt, were recently married in May. He is a dental student at the University of Minnesota.
Sarah Maki, MD is our very first glaucoma fellow. Dr. Maki is from Michigan, where she completed her undergraduate training at Michigan State. She later completed her medical school in Chicago and recently graduated from residency here at the University of Minnesota. She and her husband Trevor were married this past June. He is completing his medical training in radiology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
